I haven't done it to a soap yet and in fact I have been meaning to send an email to Mystic Water about her thoughts on adding a drop or two of Lime essential oil (don't currently own any Lime) to my Mystic Water Lime which I find very lightly scented and Lavender Lime which all I can smell is the Lavender.
I have made my own aftershave using Everclear, witch hazel and some glycerin as I wanted an unscented aftershave with more kick than just witch hazel with its 14% alcohol. I have since purchased an essential oil blend and added it to this mix but for the reasons mentioned in above posts I do worry about the affects of maybe using to much or the quality as it's just a bottle I bought at the grocery store. I have hade no problems so far but it is something that is absorbed and who knows what is really in it or how pure it is etc.

Go Blue!
No, but I get superior lather after sleeping at a Holiday Inn the night before. Essential oils are more dangerous than people realize. I was gifted a bottle of peppermint bath wash from Bigelow. Nice stuff, except in a moment of fatigue from an earlier heat wave I supersized about 1/4 of the bottle into my hand
and sudsed away. Big mistake dummy! I not only stripped all the natural body oils from head to foot but those oils caused a horrific skin reaction that left me red and itching for a full week. Remember that your skin is actually the body's largest organ and it can easily get beat up faster than the magic shaving mirror likes to tell us.
