Do You Still Own Your First Brush?

Mine was a Parker and I donated it to my son.

My first brush was Muehle Purist with fibre knot. I sold it a long time ago, but sometimes I regret it.

Hell. No! My first brush was GARBAGE

Still have my Maggards synth. My daughters use it to do impressions of me shaving.

Parker Silvertip badger with the horn handle... I still use it.

The first shaving brush I ever bought was a boar brush (1981) and used it for many years. My first badger brush was a Simpson Chubby 2 (don't recall the exact year but it was a long time ago) . Both are still in my collection.

Unbranded Burma Shave Boar purchased in 1979. 2nd from the left on upper row and still a great brush.

My first brush was a Vulfix 2234 in super from about 10 years ago. I do still have it but rarely use it. Way too floppy for me. Super soft though.

nope...I think it was a red and white burma shave brush that walmart sold...I didn't know what I was doing at the time so after a few tries using Williams mug soap, I tossed both in the trash. lol

Yup.
It's an un-branded boar made in "West Germany". I think I got it in the late '70s and used it with Williams Mug soap.
It stayed in a drawer during a lengthy beard/electric/disposable period, so it's in good shape.



It splays more than I prefer now, but I'm experimenting with elastic band reinforcements these days.

Now, if only I could find the Gillette Super 109 that I had back then. I know I did not toss it, sell it, or give it away.
