All my brushes are rinsed, shaken, towel dried, then left to dry on their bases.

I hang all my brushes upside down mostly because I happen to have enough stands to go around. Otherwise I don't think it really makes a difference. Especially with synthetics because the fibers don't absorb any water, they're usually very dry after a flick, squeeze, and a quick pat down with a towel.

Sounds like most of us did the same thing.  Started out hanging them upside down but now just shake and sit them on their handle in a good spot to dry.

I hang mine upside down, and if I use a different brush on the next shave I hang that brush and set the other on its base.

i dont hang them upside down i just shake out as much water as i can and then gently towel dry them and never once had any issues.
