Difficulty Posting Images

I was able to post a photo yesterday.  I have tried 6 times today and let one attempt last almost a minute and nothing.

I just tried to download a photo on another blog using what appears the same software and it would not download.

Don't know what to tell you I attempted to download a photo at 5:04 PST and it was still trying at 5:07 PST.  Good night.

do not make me want to fix the issue any sooner. not being able to post images on the forum with the push of 1 button is a very minor issue that can wait to be fixed - it doesn't need immediate attention and can be addressed when I get time and figure out what's going on. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my days off from work and I have things to do outside of the forum - the same forum I spend thousands of hours working on every year..

andrewjs18, I don't think anyone expects you to pull a rabbit out of your hat and certainly not on your days off.  This has happened before and probably will again.  Usually, it is not through anything done on the DFS site so it's just frustration talking.  It's sort of like being able to see home out of your airplane window after a long flight when the captain announces that due to fog the plane will circle for forty-five minutes until it clears.  Aggravating?  Of course.  However, eventually things work out.  You do more for DFS than anyone else so enjoy your time.  All will eventually be well.  (Besides, in my case, if you've ever seen my SOTD photos, trust me, the DFS world isn't waiting with baited breath to see another. )

I did not say or infer that it should be fixed immediately. I was merely attempting to let you know the issues so it may have helped you. Obviously, you did not think that way and I will not bring anything to your attention in the future.

Tidepool, please don't be so hard on yourself or andrewjs18. Of course it's frustrating but, frankly, we count on members to let us know when things go wrong on the site. Sometimes that leads to a bunch of us stating we're having the same problem and that's okay. Andrew is not only the administrator and a moderator, he is also our tech person. However, like many of you, he also holds down a full time job and has a family. He is now aware of the problem and I'm sure he'll keep us apprised of what's happening as soon as he knows.

As you can well imagine I have experienced many issues with computer software in my time. I am a computer user and not actually tech savvy. When ever I had problems my computer experts always wanted to know every issue as there could be several problems appearing to be one. So, I thought all of the things I experienced yesterday would be helpful for him or whom ever will deal with this. For instance, the same thing happened on another blog which appears to have similar or the same software. That's why I added that in a reply. If I sounded arrogant I want to apologize; but please understand that was in no way my intent.

It looks as if some folks have been able to put up SOTD photos so, hopefully, all is good again.

Admittedly I'll be happy when the Imgur issue is resolved, since I'm somewhat lazy, but I have found that uploading my day's images to my account on Imgur and then copying the [url] links and pasting them on the forum sections here has really not been difficult at all.
