DFS Horizons pass around list

Soap arrived! Definately some leaking from the aftershave. Look forward to a shave with it tomorrow.

I'll reach out to Bill on Monday to see if he can send out a replacement cap and/or a different one entirely.

I have one shave in so far and it was a good one! The soap is a great performer, and had awesome slickness and protection. The scent is very nice and I also get the lemon desert vibe that wyze0ne mentioned. While it's a great scent, I don't think it's a "love" scent that warrants me purchasing. With that said, I'm ready to send it on to the next participant. Thank you andrewjs18 for organizing the passaround!

Marhos24 sent it on over to me. LOVE the scent and the entire BMS and M&M  bear themes colabs. Soap and edp arrived safely. M&M is to send a new splash to me so Ill hold of on use until the set is complete. Allow me the opportunity to thank all involved here M&M BMS and the fine shaves before and after me in the list. This is a great scent, and IMHO the kodiak base the best if the best. Ill post again after use.

While we wait, here is a comparison of scent notes I made between DFS Horizons and two of my favorite scents: Grey Flannel and Aqua Velva.  Analysis and comments are encouraged:

I am an Aqua Velva guy, and I love Grey Flannel. Thank you for validating my over-the-top reaction to the DFS Horizons scent profile, even though I lack the sophistication to draw out the nuances. I knew there was a reason I love this soap!

I can confirm that neither of those 2 frags make up the DFS Horizons scent.

My oldest son purchased the entire set of Horizons for me for Christmas (in the kodiak base). So I’ll be passing the passaround set (soap and edp) to Ram57 hopefully tomorrow or the day after. That said, this is an awesome base as is every Kodiak from M&M. Black Monutian Shaves delivers another classic scent you can use anytime of year. Though I confess this one is on the Warmer/darker/spicyer side to my nose. If your familiar with the magnificent “bear” line it my opinion its closer to Pisgah, but bolder and stronger scent base. The soap is slick and protective, and pillowy. The splash burns as it should, but combined with the soap and balm leaves an elite face feel post shave. Thanks to all involved in these gracious passarounds. Thank you to the andrew, DFS, Murphy and McNeil and Black Mountain Shaving, and all artisans and craftsmen that work so hard for us to have the opportunity to experience these top shelf products. ram57 get me your address you’re in for a treat!
