That makes sense. Thanks for your perspective. I hesitated to post what I did for being perceived as negative and critical but now I'm glad I did.

Your opinion is always welcome mate. Don't hesitate to say what's on your mind.

I definitely agree with what NeoXerxes said regarding the AMAs. on top of what he mentioned, it also helps us get to know the people who make and sell us products on a more personal level. I see merchant threads as a way for the vendors to promote their businesses and products, not necessarily to muddy up the thread and flow of posts talking about their personal endeavors.

Frim what I have seen, our particilating vendors seem rather humble. I cant picture any of them btagging about personal adventures, influences, goals, and ideals without the benefit of being soecifically asked for this information.

Thats the difference between an AMA and a merchant thread. In the AMA, someone could ask for favorite color, favorite ice cream, why they started making what they make, favorite high school teacher....whatever. This type of personal information that helps us understand and appreciate the merchants as real people, is not likely to be found in the merchant thread discussing the next new scent or piece of hardware.

Just my take on it...

Spot on BadDad . You can ask a vendor, well, anything Smile It is a venue for the community to ask questions, should they like, regarding things outside the scope of the merchant product line(s). I personally very much enjoy participating and feel that it sheds additional light on the person behind the brand. Then again, I like learning people's stories in general and it may not be of interest to all.

My previous interactions with Peter have shown him to be not only a talented artisan, but also a stand up gentleman. It'll be great to participate in the AMA so everyone can get a feeling of the man behind the WW brand. I'm looking forward to reading the questions and answers that pop up on the thread.

Can someone direct me to the previous AMA thread(s)? Sorry to appear a bit dense! Smile

I'm looking forward to fielding some questions. I more curious about many of you than you are of me to be honest.
