Hi all,

Shawn (hawns) of Chatillon Lux have been kind enough to do an AMA with the forum on the 4th of June. Shawn will be available for most of the day to answer our questions.

The way it'll work is we'll create a new thread on the 4th where everyone can post questions, as long as they're in accordance with our forum rules. When Shawn pops in throughout the day, he can answer them to the best of their ability.

I guess I have to think up new questions for hawns , as he's been quite gracious in answering questions via email correspondence. Don't worry, I'm sure I'll think of something. Big Grin

Just a quick update: I should be fully caffeinated and ready to roll by 11am Central. Trust me, you want me to wait until I've had the required amount of coffee to fully begin the day.

I hear you Shawn - a few weeks back I inadvertently bought a bag of decaf coffee beans (in my defence the word "decaf" was small and hard to see at the top of the bag where you roll it closed) and that was all I drank for about 4 days. Seriously, I thought something was really wrong with me, I thought maybe I was having a stroke or some other really bad problem like dying. I went to the Dr. and had some tests. Saturday morning I'm making coffee and I notice the word decaf on the bag. I wasn't dying (although it felt like it) I was just going through caffeine withdrawal. Apparently its a recognized mental disorder listed in the DSM-5. I was pretty happy to know that I was ok but a little pissed at the packaging - decaf coffee should be in bright red bags with skulls and crossbones on it and kept behind locked doors so that there can be no mistake when you buy it.

Looking forward to Sunday.
Cheers,
Mark

Marko, that is too funny, only because I get the withdrawal symptoms when I go a day without it. So to be fooled into thinking you were taking in caffeine, yeah, that trip to the doctor is totally reasonable, although I would be terrified that I was dying, too. What a cruel joke decaf coffee is!

Marko, thank you for my morning laugh. Big Grin  I am one of the fortunate ones in that I love my full octane coffee in the morning but when I have to, I can drink decaf.  When I visit my friend in Buffalo, for health reasons, he cannot drink caffinated coffee (and he drinks coffee throughout the day).  Therefore, every morning during my visit it's decaf for me.  I do not have withdrawal symptoms from the lack of caffine and, when I get back home, I go right back to my coffeehouse and my double shot Americano with no ill effects at all.  After reading hawns and your stories, I am quite thankful for my situation. Shawn, I am looking forward to the AMA but even more, getting to meet you in St. Louis next week.  From looking at the extended forecast, we should be pretty lucky with the weather, warm and sunny. Cool
