Anybody tried soaps from this artisan? Seems to be relatively new. I ordered a few samples from him last week.

Did a test lather with one of the samples yesterday. Was very impressed. Slick, dense, and creamy. Took water well. Loaded easily. Ill get a shave in tomorrow with it.

Prices seem absurdly low. I imagine that they are using much cheaper, industrial mass produced fragrances by the barrel.. No way they could offer them at this price if they used EOs or Absolutes.

First shave with this soap was good. The "gamechanger" base can hang with the other top dog soap bases. Dense, slick, and protective. I can't comment on the quality of fragrance products used. The samples I bought are "hot laguna nights" and "masters of the green". Both of them are lighter on the scent scale. They smell pleasant, but are not in my wheelhouse so I wouldn't consider buying full size tubs of these two scents. If there is a scent that would better appeal to me, I wouldn't hesitate to buy the full sized tub.

Due to me not "loving" these scents, I would like to PIF the two samples to someone who is interested. CONUS only please. First to PM me gets them.

I received the samples from Marhos24 . Thank you so much!

I posted my first impression, last night, in the soap of the day thread. However, I thought I'd summarize it here...

Oddly enough, for me, the scent notes are mid level plus on the Laguna Nights. The scent gets diluted a bit when lathered, but bounces back strong post shave. I can smell it fairly prominently for what ended up being an hour afterwards.

It absolutely whips up a slick, high quality lather, and it takes a ton of water. While it might not be my 'best' performer, it's definitely up there as a high end product. Easily in line with some of my great soaps (MacDuffs, Mick's, etc).

Post Shave was also great. I didn't feel the need for a post shave product. No dryness or issues of any kids kind.

Thanks again!

I scooped one more shave out of the sample. That will likely be used later this week. The sample pack is now off to another interested party.

Thanks again Marcus for your generosity. I'm glad to have tried it and may pick up a full tub of soap, soon.
