ExtraProtein I was lucky enough to snag another TSN LE Boar today… I won’t be letting this one go!

When you sold me your LE a couple years ago I was like, “madness.” And you took care of me on price too, cowboys wanted 5x the price, you only charged me double, lololololol

Your boar and zebra are here to stay.  Remember the Zebra story? You withdrew it the moment you posted, I waited a year until you were truly done.  It’s rare to find a perfect zebra with gorgeous stripe work and perfect symmetry.  Bernd knots…psshhhhhhht, another Artisan doing his due diligence with hair selection.  The knot alone would fetch 150 quid today.  Every now and then you happen upon a knot that’s exceptional like this

I'm glad those nice brushes went to a good guy like you Rob ExtraProtein. At the time they weren't getting much use from me, and if I remember right I was trying to fund an expensive cross-country family vacation. I did know enough at that time to identify they were special! I have missed TSN LE ever since I sold it. I didn't know it would be so hard to find another, but here I am 2 years later and one surfaced at a normal price for me. Can't wait to use it for "Decemboar" and share some pictures with you guys 

One point to clarify my Friend.... I just checked my PayPal account and on Oct. 31st, 2019, I sold you the Semogue for exactly $60. That was the price TSN LE sold for when available.

When Rob posted the suggestion of getting one, I was all into the search. Then, my synthetics threatened to go on strike if I added one more Boar. So, I had to back down.

TL;DR
This morning was the TGN 27mm in the Trotter Cascadia Line. This is a taller knot, and exhibits floppiness, which I like. But what a lather eater! I had to reload between passes. It was well worth it, and between warm lather (Crown King scuttle is being used all month to start the building as well as keeping things warm!), the nice knot, the ergonomic handle, and the Type G goodness, I had a wonderful shave!

Can anyone recommend a good source for premium boar knots?

Thanks for this, I'll check them out - shipping to Canada might be the issue because o the wildlife thing.  

I had a brainstorm a few minutes ago while pondering the matter of removing a knot from and existing brush a AYPWIP moment!!  I think so Brain....  the thought was maybe I could vacuum seal the subject brush and soak it in my sous vide cooker for however long it takes.  I would have precise control over the temperature and the exposure time and the brush itself would never get wet.  Of course this will only work if temperature is the only factor in softening the adhesive and the solvent effect of the water/steam is unnecessary.  I shall experiment so stay tuned.  Any thoughts or suggestions on temperature and exposure time are appreciated.

Very interesting idea Marko! I never thought about using a Sous Vide cooker. In theory it seems like it may work, however I don't know what temp would be appropriate.
