gone to Carolina in my mind
Hi guys.  I started with the Zenith boar tonight, but I did so against my own better judgement.  Why?  Because tonight's soap is new to me, and my notes are that I never got along with this boar.  So I went against my own change control standards.  I thought maybe a few years of technique building would change things, but as the wheels started falling off the bus early in the first pass, I hit the reboot button, reached for the Brad Sears, and started from scratch.  Better you should learn from my mistakes than your own. ...

Yikes. Sorry to hear that Mike. At least you were prepared and able to switch up and save the shave.

For the weekend and maybe even Monday. The brush, the soap, and the razor are all favorites, always deliver, too.

Shaved last night with the 24mm Omega. We then went out to tackle some Xmas shopping, so I'm only getting to post this AM.

It was a great shave, again. Surprisingly (at least for me) it held three passes of lather. That's amazing for a 24mm, for me, but I'm also using the Macduffs... not sure if the soap plays into it at all?? Regardless, I was super happy with the shave. While the brush still has some scritch, it's definitely breaking in. I'll be curious to see how it feels on the last day of DecemBoar in comparison.

Enjoy your weekend folks.

Forgot to mention, for some odd reason it lost 4 or 5 hairs last night. Previously it was loosing 1 or none. I'm hoping it's a fluke... being a little bit of a rebel this week. Because I need to know, I'm going to use the brush again Sunday and compare. Fingers crossed!

Sounds like Stirling made a winner there. (Well, Stirling and Zenith) Rod made a good choice collaborating with Zenith.
