Have a great day, all

Niva Wood Professional boar bristle brush has very soft and long bristles that can be floppy sometimes. Because of that I usually don't let it soak in hot water, just let it wait few minutes in cold water. So, it may preserve its little backbone.

The Semogue Owner's Club is my favorite boar brush and one of my favorites overall. Always a great lather with it.

DecemBOAR 6 -- Wednesday Evening Edition

A beautiful butterscotch-handled Zenith 505B arrived today, as seen on the BST forum! The knot is a little shorter than I generally prefer, but it feels great. I wouldn't be surprised if this brush "hogs" more attention this month than the others.

Eric ewk, I have a new to me short loft as well, and I am learning to appreciate the difference. Not sure it'll hog my attention (I liked how you snuck that in there!), as my fave right now is the SOC boar knot, of which I added a second for this DecemBoar. Time will tell!

This evening, as the Omega 48 is going through a transformation, I decided to go with the Omega 81052. This is on the smaller side, compared to the Om 48. Therein, I did have to reload to get three good passes in. Nonetheless, It was a good shave.

Both of the Boars I'll be using this month need some work to break them in. I'm hoping to get close to a good break-in come the end of December (at least for one of them, maybe both). We will have to see if it works out.

Have a great evening folks. [Image: 929a3ac38fe59e675d1453cc0496515c.jpg]

Wow, Joe! With all those Portuguese brushes, it might be time to start learning the language.  Big Grin

This was my second ride with MacDuff's Wild Rose.  I realized the first time that I did not have the soap dialed in quite right, but everything fell into place this time, and the shave was excellent.  Also, I dug three more boar brushes out of the recesses our storage area in the basement, two Zeniths, and a Semogue.  All three are of interest to me.  The Zenith in this photo is an aluminum Pro Big Boar with a B1 knot.  Two things I noticed about the B1 are first, that it hasn't much backbone (which was no problem with the soft Wild Rose soap) and second, the face feel is lusciously smooth.  All in all, it's a clear win from my POV.
