I'm really liking the brush so far Matsilainen. It has softer tips than the Plissofts but more backbone. I think I prefer a little less backbone in a synthetic though. The super soft tips make up for it. I also wish he offered a 26 or 28mm knot instead of 30mm. I would have preferred something bigger than 24, but not all the way up to 30.

If the Tuxedo is even softer than a Plissoft-type knot, then it’s a winner in my book. I don’t like too much backbone either — was thinking for a while of having Larry at Whipped Dog drill the handle 2–4 mm more, but then decided against it for just that reason.

The 30 mm knot is maybe a little excessive for most, but I’m sure head shavers can appreciate it. I used to think 26 mm is ideal, but lately I’m back to being a 24 mm fan. Go figure… Glad to hear you’re enjoying the Tuxedo!

Oh, and December:
I’ve received Barrister and Mann’s Seville and APShaveCo’s Tuxedo 24 mm knot in the last couple of days.

That's beautiful. It looks like the Guardsman blue of vintage Shelby Cobras.

Thanks for the props on that. It has such a rich color in person and it has flakes of gold in it as well. Pretty neat color.
