I have not taken my DE razor or blades when traveling. I am taking my wife on a cruise and would love to have my DE with me. I am not asking what to take, but want to know if anyone has had any issues getting DE razor or blades on a plane or cruise ship?

When flying you can't take DE blades in carry-on luggage. They're ok in a checked bag. The DE razor is ok in either but they might check it for a blade in a carry-on. I don't know about cruise ships.

I usually check a bag when flying so it's never an issue. You can bring a DE in your carry-on, but you can't bring the blades.

If you are going carry-on only you might have to mail yourself a pack of blades. What's strange is you can bring a small pocket knife on a plane but not a DE blade, must have something to do with P&G lobby groups! lol

The majority of my travel is by air and as others said DE blades are a no-go unless you check. Razor itself is Ok for carry on.

Cruise ships I can't recall but am sure the line you have booked with can answer and I would check with them directly or consult their website.

Have fun on the vacation!

Just bureaucratic inanities at work, no rhyme or reason. Wouldn't you love to hear TSA's explanation? Huh

I have carried a pocket knife just about my entire life. I had a Schrade Walden my grandfather gave me as a kid that was actually confiscated by TSA on my way through security as I mistakenly grabbed it with keys, etc. by force of habit in a rush.

Just a couple of weeks ago, I came into the office for a meeting prior to catching a flight and guess what? Forgot to take my pocket knife out and leave it in the car because I was running late for a flight. The option was to have it confiscated again or to leave security and mail it to myself. I opted for #2 as this was a Case knife my wife gave me to replace the SW!

Nonetheless, from my experience they won't let you carry on pocket knives either (these were medium cattlemen so nothing huge).

I can't even bring a pocket knife to the hockey game any more....they have metal detectors, scanners and are on the "do not bring in list".

The last time I flew (I don't fly much), I checked everything, but made sure to not bring any family heirlooms, just in case.

All evidence has been buried, all tapes have been erased.

Interesting, I fly all the time with my Sabenza and never had it confiscated

Always safest to leave it in your checked bag. Anything else and you risking loosing it.
