You can expect an order coming from me; and, you can keep the 15%. You've given me enough with your service to our country. All the best to you.

We just added 2 new soaps to our inventory, and boy are they great! They are tallow based and bourbon infused and handmade by a very talented Artisan - Through The Fire Fine Crafts out of Michigan

Some of you may be familiar with them, the scents are called Devil's Cut and Angel's Share.

To paraphrase the soap maker, Devils Cut take the "charred oaky" scent of aged Bourbon and adds the smooth scent of sandalwood to create a lush, warm, and spicy blend.

Angel's Share is, in the direct words of the soap maker, "vanilla sweet, but in a dark complex way. Light citrus hints cut the sweetness, and a warm caramel coffee base keeps this scent manly."

Both of the soaps are great performers. They lather easily, with a little more water than I normally use, nicely and uniquely scented and provide a very comfortable shave. (My typical setup is a Merkur 34c HD, Astra blades and badger hair or synthetic bristle brush using a Fine Accoutrements lather bowl, all of which are available in our store djshavingsupply.com)

These amazing soaps can be found here:

Devils Cut: http://www.djshavingsupply.com/TTFFC-Dev...dcsoap.htm

Angel's Share: http://www.djshavingsupply.com/TTFFC-Ang...assoap.htm

I really recommend these soaps for a great shave unique scent experience!

Thanks

- David

Just wanted to let everyone know that we will be adding Merkur Furturs to our product offering. Also, we are replenishing our Fine Accountrements Snake Bite inventory as well as adding Fine Accoutrements L'Orange Noir scented aftershave to the lineup!

Wanted to share some feedback I received from local customer this morning!

Just heard back from a local customer who, previous to his conversation with me, was having terrible issues with ingrown hairs and the dreaded "razor bumps".
After listening to him describe his problem, which were causing him to shave only once a week at best, I was able to recommend a setup that I felt would help him and was in line with his budget and he was willing to "give it a try"

What he WAS using:

Preshave face wash
Razor: Double blade disposable
Cream: Standard canned shaving foams and gels

What was recommended:

(Hot shower first)
Preshave oil
Merkur 34c HD
Gillette blade
Taylor of Old Bond Street Jermyn Street Shaving Cream for sensitive skin
Badger hair brush (for lathering, application and mild exfoliation)
Soap Commander Aftershave Balm

He was given some tips, such as how to hold the razor, the angle at which to shave, and advised to apply little to no pressure.
The next day, he made sure to let me know how much he enjoyed his shave, but that he would have to wait a couple of days to see if the ingrown hairs returned. Well, it has been 2 weeks and no ingrown hairs, no irritation and he said he is now shaving every other day and looks forward to it every time!
It makes us happy to help people and we love hearing back from our customers!

Remember, if there is anything we can do to answer any questions, please feel free to ask!
Thanks,

David & Jim

Well done Dave and Jim- the only thing I see missing is an invitation to join us at DFS! Wink

Great setup that you recommended/provided and one that will no doubt provide good shaves for a long time to come. What type of badger brush did you provide?
