Nice shave! And that patina is awesome. I seriously thought this was a custom wooden handle! Regarding the flop, I found women's hair bands work great and come in colors so you can try to match the handle or knot.

Well here we are the first day of February and I finally realized I hadn't changed my SOTD date to 2024 until today. Owners of the new gig job I started flew in this week and so I was busy trying to look like I knew what I was doing and that it was a good thing they hired me to save the Company from sudden failure........that's a joke I appreciate them taking a chance on an old dog trying to learn new things and add value to their business. I made my self scarce and they are in Knoxville today and fly out on Friday so I survived. I've been fighting a head cold again which is kicking my butt. Tested negative for the COVID so we'll just ride this out hopefully quicker than last time. Hope everyone has a great day !

Get well Dave. I had the cold over Christmas and it was a real pita. Other than Covid last summer I haven’t been sick in over 5 years so I was out of practice. The particular cold I had and that has been making the rounds up here is basically a month long. I was more than a little annoyed as this makes the third Christmas running that I haven’t been on my A game. 2023-cold, 2022-recovering from hernia surgery, 2021-recovering from hip replacement. I’m betting it all on an awesome Christmas 2024! 

Thanks guys, I haven't been sick for 4 years since covid, before they knew what covid was in Dec 2019 and then a head cold in November of 2023. That lasted 2-3 weeks and now here we go again......this too will pass....
