Thu**ROSE**day inspired by TommyCarioca 1st run with the Empire ABC Razor and as expected it shaves like any Old Type Gillette. It's an aggressive razor but if you find the proper angle and pressure it is a smooth and effective shave. Exactly what I expected and happy to finally have landed it after at least 5-6 years of hunting one that was reasonably priced. Also loving the Brush repaired by our Freddiep318ti that set a Timberwolf in it for me as requested. I recommend him for his skill & talent if you need it. Have a great day everyone !

Lather was stellar actually amazing ! Unfortunately the scent is so light it is all but lost on me. I also got irritation all over my face from it and will need to pass this set on. Disappointed for sure after all the hype and delays. To clarify for those that only read what they wanted to in that thread. It's a broken record that he's a one man show etc etc etc. We all know that. But don't have basically a pre-order with a set shipping date (He's been at this long enough to know what he can and can't do) Even then if he was surprised by the sales he gave false ship dates 3 more times to me. At that point he knew how many orders he had and the situation since it was sold out already. Have a great day everyone !!

Safety first Dave!

Love the nod to Fluffy. Miss him around here.

Glad to see a review on the proof razor. That is certainly a steep angled head. Reminds me of a Gillette Mach 3.

I don't know if you watch your videos after. If not, trust me, it really looked like you were having troubles with that head. From my view, that head didn't have a lot of play ... it looked very stiff and hard to angle. That's a mistake, IMO. The disposable market heads, which I presume they were trying to replicate, rotate LOOSELY. My guess, and I could be wrong, is you'd have less trouble getting under the nose cleanly with a Mach 3 or such.

Thanks for taking one for the team. Saved some of us the pain of trying it. Lol.

Have a great Sunday.

It has good play but it's starting point is way too inline with the handle I think. I didn't care for it at all. I would much prefer a Mach 3 but it is a nice aluminum construction at least. Just didn't like the design and I wanted to be kind and at the same time honest. Guess I can't hide my feelings to well as I shave, talk and mull in my mind what to say Big Grin Take care and have a great day Paul !

Which one is milder, the Romulus?   I have no shot at a vector with a feather pro.

Keeping in mind my Vector is titanium and the Romulus is stainless steel and therefore more weight. For me which is all I can state the Romulus maybe a tad smoother feeling. The vector to me has a handle that is much more comfortable and I don't tend to have it slipped in my hand. Romulus handle seems to slide on me sometimes. All that said the results of the shave for me are identical. I honestly was hesitant to even post a comparison because I do not want to get into the controversial debate that always ensues. Bottom line is both razors were available and I wanted to compare them and that's all I'll say on that matter. I had no problem with your question Mike and was not implying that just why I didn't decide to post anything unless I was asked. Hope you have a great day Buddy!
