Have you kept track of how many different razors you’ve shaved with and, do you have a favourite razor? Maybe a third question… do you have a favourite razor - blade combination? Just curious.
Thanks Mark for the compliment although I don't know if deserved. I've never kept track of the number of razors I've used but wished I had been more organized in documenting. I have over 200 in possession currently and use everythng I have. I've had an unknown number that have also come thru my hands that were used and moved on either thru selling or it was a loan or pass around. I've also never settled on what I would claim as my favorite fro all of these. I haven't even given a lot of thought as to what favorites would be for different situations if I had categories. As you can see I appear to be an uncooperative interviewee but that isn't my intention. I think once anyone gets the technique down they can adjust to and shave with about anything and get a great shave. If that's the case, how do you pick a favorite. There are probably lots of favorites for differing reasons or occassions. I keep thinking I should settle on about 6 or so razors and get rid of all the others. Problem with that is I always then see someone using a razor I had and let go of and then get the itch to try it again. I'm complicated and even confuse myself. I really want to get the Chiseled Face razor with Imperial handle but have trouble buying it without trying it first. Shameless plug hoping someone will read this and offer a loaner so I can try it
Does it make sense to even care about it? Can it really be any different than the hundreds someone may have already used and is it worth it? This keeps me up at night
