So I had to dig to get the info and refresh my memory on why this project ended. Sad as it wasn't Shanes fault and he put a ton of time and expense into the development of this and came up with a great and as always for him an innovative product. I had a great shave this morning with the Era 5 OC Plate. Comfortable shave and close for a BBS finish. I don't see how a blade could be clamped any better than has been achieved here. The best test for a razor is how close and comfortable you can get a shave with 1 day of growth and this passes with flying colors. Thanks ewk for the trade that put this into my hands. If I was buying without knowing which to get, I would have bought the 5 SB plate but this is nice as I said and reminds me somewhat of the Gillette New Long Comb shaves I love. I don't know how many shaves I've had from this tub so far but enough you'd think I'd see a dent at least. Doesn't appear to have receded one bit at all. BTW the larger on the brush was pre-face lathering. Not the finished product. dominicr Love the performance and scent. Have a great day Everyone !
