Go for it! that flat top is only a few notches better than the original. I am debating buying a boar knot, as I think the Stirling is 24mm and I don't have a boar in that size, but I do have a SynBad and an AP mixed. We'll see. Trying not (or knot?) to buy more stuff! And I got a beauty coming in from Paul T as soon as he gets his T1 badger knots back in stock. Literally the slow boat from China!
Didn't I put a 24mm in that vintage handle I sent you? I don't recall if it was a Maggards, but I think it was. If not, you owe it to yourself to get a Maggards Boar. I find their 24mm is just about the best Boar I've tried.

Sorry Eric, I should probably be encouraging you to not shop. Lol.

I appreciate the encouragement, and yes, that is the boar I have on my To Buy list! It may happen in April!

Great shave my friend! I'll try to remember and list the items in my SOTDs, lol. One thing I found using mine that may help with the GEM blade being thinner is to use a half DE as a shim. I find it holds the GEM firm and does not allow any play or shifting. Thanks for the shout out and I look forward to seeing more of the collection!

Here is a nice lighting kit, only $400 dollars, lol  Cool

I think your set up is perfect for what you do. No issue on my end with lighting, and there is a volume control on my laptop so that fixes any other issues! Keep on keeping on!

Greatly informative video, Dave, on both gear and lathering. I am into my seventh year and still am learning things!

Happy

When I was in pharmacy school, my wife would help me by coloring red editing my papers. I have a problem not being specific enough! Who'd've guessed?!
