Razor: Karve SS "D Plate
Blade: Wizamet
Brush: Trotter Vein Quartz/Boti Horse
Soap: Tabac Tuesday
AS 1: Thayers Original
AS 2: CHH Tobacco
Fragrance:
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1224

The Horse hair has a stench that still hasn't left it and is a constant shedder as in 5-10 hairs each shave. That coupled with the feel which is too scritchy and floppy had it relieved of duty and pulled out this morning. I have a nice Badger that will take it's place. Have a great Tuesday Everyone !

Pretty much my experience with horse knots too. Wish there was a premium one out there.

My two Oumo horse hair knots have not been shedders. And the barnyard ambiance was gotten rid of after a bit. They are more floppy than a boar or Badger knot. My $.02.

Pulled this Badger out of a Brush I was gifting to a friend(Put a Boar knot in it for him) Not sure what the knot is but loved it in the other handle. It's at home in the Trotter handle now and I'm quite pleased with it together. May have used it sooner than I should have. Should have let the silicone set up more, but couldn't resist. Take Care !

Oh yeah, that badger knot looks very good in Vein Quartz! Sometimes you need to make a switch. Going to do that with the Stirling handle, as I think I can do better than the bargain flat top boar, which just not "up there" for me!

Go for it! that flat top is only a few notches better than the original. I am debating buying a boar knot, as I think the Stirling is 24mm and I don't have a boar in that size, but I do have a SynBad and an AP mixed. We'll see. Trying not (or knot?) to buy more stuff! And I got a beauty coming in from Paul T as soon as he gets his T1 badger knots back in stock. Literally the slow boat from China!

Didn't I put a 24mm in that vintage handle I sent you? I don't recall if it was a Maggards, but I think it was. If not, you owe it to yourself to get a Maggards Boar. I find their 24mm is just about the best Boar I've tried.

Sorry Eric, I should probably be encouraging you to not shop. Lol.
