Today we are testing the theory that soaking wet wood will burn if fire is hot enough.....

My grandfather told me a story about my great grandfather. He ran a work gang that was tasked with clearing brush and trees for the construction of US 1 through Harford county. During the construction of the Conowingo Dam.
He would take a two horse wagon down to Baltimore and recruit men to work all week on the  construction site. Then on Friday they would be paid.  And he would take them back down to Baltimore for the weekend.
During the week they lived in tents. The first time it was raining. He showed up to the job at sunrise. And the guys were still in their tents.
He rounded em all up and said get your sorry asses outta bed we got brush to clear and burn.
They thought rain meant a day off. Nope it meant a little more kerosene to get it going. Then keeping it “good and hot”.
Ike Little was tough Irish Farmer that lived to 98.
I have no doubt you’ll get stuff done today Dave.
