On a similar train of thought. Recently lost a friend/member that is on a forum that not members but owners no longer welcome me. In fact time passed before someone told me this friend had passed. I had @3 yrs ago sold him a birth year razor that Delta Echo had done for me. When I happened along that another friend/member was incrementally liquidating the shave den for the family I reached out to him and asked if my old Cubano Slim Adjustable would be going up for sale eventually. He said that he did indeed have it and that it was mine for what I sold it to Ed for. Happy to have it coming back home from Canada. I hope the family can find comfort and peace. I will always think of Ed Somnos when I use it. Hug your loved ones and have a great day folks !

I'm very sorry about your friend Ed Somnos, Dave.   Hopefully the razor has a lifetime of happy memories left in it for you.

Have a good Tabac Tuesday.
Mines off to a poor start unfortunately.
Asshat driver almost ran me and a coworker over. While setting out signs. And a unconstitutional memo came out about mandates.  So now I am aggravated.

I really think they should change it to a "mask and mitten" mandate.  With the mitten, you can flip the asshat the bird, and it looks like Mussolini gesturing "you're so kind, but that's enough applause".  And all the while - because of the mask - he has no idea what you're saying about his mama.

Figured I'd take the 3 new to me things for a spin. The soap was a nice scent but not what I expected but a nice bright scent. The slickness was extremely good. Even residual slickness had me grab a cloth to get traction on my neck when skin stretching. The Brush was a pleasure to use and comfortable in the handle. The knot is a little floppy for me but I adjusted technique and am very happy with it and the connection it gives me. The One Blade was easy to use and got me a close shave. Just on the fence about a razor that will train me to do the exact opposite of what we learn here about proper pressure. Had to really apply pressure to get it to cut for me. I'll need some more shaves with it and check on the blades availability and longevity. Very thankful for the new additions to the den and hope all have a great day !

Hey Dave - Nice write up and nice kit, even down to the frosted finish. FWIW, I picked up an all metal OneBlade off a deep sale a while back. It has a stiff spring and requires negligible pressure - the less the better. If you hear the "click", it is the spring closing and reminding you that you are using too much pressure - something I doubt a shaver of your experience will hear much. For me it was just a question of getting the angle right., but then a nice smooth BBS is not hard to find with an FHS-10 blade. A downside is that many shavers (and I am one of them) don't find the FHS-10 lasts more than a shave or two, plus these are expensive blades, and there has been a lot of understandable angst about OneBlade's proprietary lock on US distribution.

Good luck. Enjoy.

Glad it kinda worked for you . The first version of the Core is in my top 2 of least effective razors ever owned. Sent it back.

Thanks for the tips Mike ! It reminds me a little of the Occam Razor I didn't care much for...............it may be repif'd eventually.
