The plates are brass for sure but the caps for the brass razors I don't know, they could be a steel rather than brass. Both ridged and smooth caps for the brass razors weigh around 16g, the aluminum cap only 8g.
I believe that the two heavier top caps are brass. This one without the ridge has been drilled and the brass is clearly visible. One of my top caps with the ridge has exposed edges and that looks like brass. Your twist knob will also be brass.

What else does Claudio make?
Happy Some disturbing images just over a week ago - but all seems to be back to normal organized chaos. Winking
I fiddle around in my workshop making big pieces of metal into smaller pieces that sometimes only I really understand why I've done it. My wife often asks "what do you want that for"

Thanks for the info, I may get the barrel knob redone and not fool with the top cap which isn't that bad. Stay safe down there Buddy !!

That’s some serious machining Claudio!
Impressive.  Especially since those Gibbs doodads are older than Dave!
Do you ever consider making some handles for standard razors?
Pete

Thanks and Pleased to meet you Pete.
I have made myself a few "standard" handles, nothing fancy. I have thought about it but can't match the guys using CNC machinery to make them commercially viable.
