I"ve never been able to love my Karve shaves (D,F)...just serviceable, but it's such a gorgeous razor -- I keep the brass polished and would probably not part with it given how little it cost.

With the Karve, the D SB plate was perfect for me. Tried C, E and F, but couldn't bond with them.
