Could be making a pit stop so the good folks at USPS can pack some authentic Rum in the box. Then a quick jaunt to Cuba for some cigars. Voila! A party in a box.

Or they could just be clueless, as usual. Anything's possible. Lol.

I'm so sorry Dave.  If you are worried that your parcel is lost, consider that your parcel may not even have gone airborne yet.  Airports and airlines are jammed up these days, which means servicing fleets of airliners will degrade, and air mail, like air travel, will slow down.  Mind you, I don't mean to make light of your tracking data, or to make excuses for the USPS, or to trivialize the the apprehension and aggravation I think most of us would feel.  For whatever reasons, things have gotten out of hand at the USPS, and that can only make a bad situation worse and more annoying.

That's a good point and I agree, it's really horrible to run into delays like these.

I'm always curious what's causing each of the actual bouts of issues (goodness knows the USPS has had their share of them). Mike has me wondering if this time it's the plane / airport problems. That could answer some questions like why it's PR bound. Theoretically if they can't fly as many crafts they might need to double up and send packages for longer treks to eventually wind up at the destination? Ala, Puerto Rico.

Maybe I'm reading too onto it? Who knows.

Is there any business or even a govt bureaucracy that cares LESS about their product than the USPS?
I don’t even expect anything from the USPS and I’m still regularly disappointed.

Razor: Shake Sharp MK-1
Blade: Gillette Platinum (3)
Brush: Graydog Cocobolo/Synbad
Soap: 1508.5 Project - Baron's Choice
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: CFG Ghost Town Barber
Fragrance: N/A
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 961

Phenomenal Shake Sharp shave today and may stick with the 1508.5 of Baron's Choice to finish it off. Then I will have Shavers Choice the rest of the month before starting the next Project in July. It's a busier time of year for my work with the regular annual house jobs calling in addition to the commercial route work, so I have 1 to do today instead of having the day off. Heading to Huntsville, TN for the day but should be a shorter one if I remember last time I did this account. Have a great day !!

Guys I appreciate the concern and explanations. I know all the scenarios and my post was meant to be tongue in cheek. It shows leaving Knoxville, TN early this morning so it skipped a bunch of tracks in between. That's typical once a trace is started as they don't want you seeing the mystery ride. Should be here tomorrow based on where it is and history but time will tell. I may have mine before Pete even see's his...........Thanks again !

What I've observed here lately is that mail carriers are constantly looking at their phones. Even when sorting the mail they're dropping in our locking mail boxes which are 8 individual side by side.

I was talking with our regular mail lady about the wayward package and she told me that they have so many newly hired people down at the PO who are inexperienced.

Used to be the sorters would look at the mailing label and toss it in a bin for distribution that was marked for specific routes of departure.

Now they hold the label under a scanner that tells them which bin to place it in.

One way or the other it has gone from FL to KY by a circuitous route.  Blush

I've been victim to "item held at PO by customer request" three times in recent months which I guess is carrier speak for I forgot/didn't feel like delivering your razor today.

In defense I will say that all at my post office know me and they ROCK!! My carrier is AMAZING and rewarded regularly for his having to drive up my driveway to put packages on my porch that won't fit in the box. Shame some ruin the reputation of others but it happens in every industry.

Hey my Dad worked for the Post Office for 40+ years and they're doing the Lord's work. I've NEVER had a package not get to me, or mail lost that I know of.
