Good brushes but unfortunately associated with a bad memory from the past. No one that is associated with where they are from has wanted to purchase them so I figured I would put them to use occasionally in my rotation until someone that would appreciate them more wants to buy them. I have two brushes of shame.

The one you used today was built by Eric, so it has great redeeming qualities there. Simply think of him instead of the place they were designed for, at least until you move them along.

Absolutely agree with what you say. I have tried to put out of my head what it represented because I appreciate Eric's work but unfortunately that's not easily done because of what the brushes were made for and represented. I'm thankful to have several other brushes from him not connected to that memory. I had one individual contact me when I first left that memory but I think they expected it to be given away to them. The one used today was the first anniversary for there and is one of 26 or one of 28 I'd have to look at the authenticity card at home to be sure. I think it's worth at least what I paid for it given its history and rarity.

Missed this on the phone screen, but on the laptop, I see that is an original Karve handle, which I think pairs nicely with the SE RFB!

Thanks, yes it is the 3 inch which is a little short for me but works.

I know I never mentioned it, but I understood your reasoning from the first time I saw that title. It is a shame that they hold unpleasant memories for you, and I hope you can get a good price for them. Once the workshop is back up it will be lots and lots of resin. I have about 25 blanks already cast and ready to turn, and plan to make many more as soon as I'm able. I love working with natural materials, but there is something special about coming up with a color combination and pattern that works.

Well the Shake Sharp came in and it is NOS. The blade hone looks untouched to my eye. Feels like it still has oil on it.
