I've been a VERY bad boy and snagged a razor lot I couldn't let pass full of vintage razors to play with. Won't keep them all but maybe most of them..........2 Wilkinson Sword razor sets and 1 Pall Mall. Twinplex stropper, a nice Gem cased, a Dehaven and Rolls Razor. Also 2 toiletry hanging sets with stuff I do not know how full they are........Will be fun to play with.

Dehaven could be interesting :-) .

Have had one for a long time but had trouble trying to get the old blade out of the holder and it won't hold the new blade in place. Hoping I have better success with this one. Looks to have a few blades with it. This was the only pic of it out of the case.

Yup that is indeed the challenge with these. I'm batting about .250 in getting the blades removed.

Man I love this scent that brings back memories and wish I had it in a modern base I could appreciate more. What a great shave with the Gillette Raised Flat Bottom Single Edge and an Astra SP blade. Florida Water for the finish and good to go for the day. Have a stellar day Everyone !!

This was the first time I noticed the Hebrew markings on the top of the Baron’s Choice tub. Naturally I had to investigate!

Translated it seems to be “in it” or “in her”. Not quite grasping why it’s there.

The originator of the formula, Jonathan Pereira, seems to have been a Jewish man prominent in the medical field.

This may be totally useless, but I'll put it out there anyway:  Has either of you tried Break-Free CLP?  I've had success using Break-Free with guitar truss rods that wouldn't budge.  You have to be very careful not to force the head nut on a truss rod, or you can damage the neck.  Applying a minimal dose of Break-Free and letting it gravity penetrate for a few hours worked like a charm.  BTW, Break-Free can damage a wood finish - I have a shotgun stock to prove it - and while I have never heard of Break-Free affecting metal, I would be careful.  Still, it sounds like a "what have you got to lose" scenario with the DeHavens.

Thanks for the tip Mike and maybe worth a try if there is corrosion. The old blade is crimped into a blade holder that clips onto the razor and people post about just using pliers to pull it out of the crimp so you can install a modern blade to use. More times than not the blade breaks off in different locations and your stuck with the crimped part in the holder. We'l try different techniques with thes as it looks like I'll have a few tries although some of the blades look to be in pretty bad shape. Still enough other razors to make the purchase a no brainer at the time it showed up.
