Good shave Dave! The Karve looks to nice in that naked brass...finding that brass takes so much extra attention though! I took the brass General through one shave and it pretty much needed a Brasso polish right after! Rolleyes

Anyway...it’s off on its road trip to BRG now for its spa and nickel plating, so hopefully it behaves itself once it gets back.  Tongue

Hope you have a nice, relaxing Sunday!

Razor: Karve CB "D" OC Plate
Blade: Gillette Platinum (3)
Brush: MrEE LE / Synthetic
Soap: Baron's Choice 1508.5
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Aqua Velva
Fragrance: Ferrari Scuderia Black
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 915

Back to the 1508.5 of Baron's Choice and hoping ExtraProtein that gifted this to me along with a bunch of other stuff is doing well (He's been MIA and missed) I am actually really enjoying this soap and can see why his granddad has it as a favorite. Fresh clean scent that performs very well and rinses clean. The Karve "D" OC plate did the job admirably and while not a huge OC fan this is another that works for me and the "D" OC may be the sweet spot in Karve's plates for me. Thanks Danny for the loan of this nice set and giving me the chance to revisit it. Of to work after some coffee and perusing. Typical long Monday so in no hurry to get out the door as it won't shorten the day anyway. Have a tremendous day Everyone !

Dude!
As a big Karve fan boy, I’m rooting for you to bond with one.
I typically use my B and C plates, but have also gotten great shaves (with a couple days growth) with my F OC plate.

Where in the hell did you get your:

Thanks Pete, I actually would probably bond with a D or E SB plate but not ready to run out and buy one. The Maravilla 70 has been discontinued for some time now. I have what's in the Glass Barber Bottle and 1 more backup bottle before I have to find a new favorite.

I'm concerned about you using tire sealant as an aftershave Fluffy. I know you're a trendsetter but I have trouble seeing this one catch on Tongue

The barrels I get out of the trash... I mean reclaim/recycle. Are thoroughly cleaned. Plus I have found that the remaining sealant that gets re-suspended into the aftershave of your choice. Helps restore “elasticity” to ones skin.
Maybe Frank Dragonsbeard can chime in here. He’s more knowledgeable on how that stuff works.

Now you have me imagining a 50 gallon drum of clubman. Maybe set up a pneumatic spraying system...
