Yea!

Greenfresh is on deck for me for tomorrow. Love that stuff!

So, can I ask your opinion on the Stirling Synth? I've seen it used a lot, and it's dirt cheap. I think Freddy has been regularly using one for years and year. How is the head? Looks like a Maggards type Black and white, which would be medium backbone and a great all around brush. Curious if that's the case. I think one might fall in my cart soon, their cheap enough to try. Don't tell Rod, but I might have to buff off that Stirling name. The placement, at least in pictures, irks my OCD.

One day closer to the weekend. Have a good Thursday Dave!

The knot is pretty much as you described and the handle is just so comfortable to hold. A definite winner in my book and I like the logo on it. I might tell Rod ezlovan what you said Tongue Big Grin Big Grin

Pete, another one of those razors from the old days that had proprietary blades and went by the wayside. You're able to use an old modified Enders blade to hold a modern injector blade in place and still get a good shave with one.

One of the best selling razors of the 30s and 40s (and sold into the 50s) . Single edge, easily hacked using injector blade. Lots of info out there.

Introductory ad from 1933.

Jim, thanks for chiming in as I highly respect the research you've done on the history of so many old razors that are gems to use today still. Thanks again!

I’m sure that 1933 men had been sitting around wondering about how to improve their shave.  Confused2  I know!!  Make it faster! Even speedy!  Then they would have more time to tinker with those darn unreliable cars they’ve been buying. And here we are slowing it all down. Marketing nightmare.

Given a twenty plus years production run they were obviously on to something.
