Razor: Yates 921 H PROTOTYPE #2
Blade: Wizamet (2)
Brush: Sorrentino Orange Crush
Soap: Lakewood SOCP (1508.5 Project on Steroids)
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Nivea 2 into 1 Splash
Fragrance: PdP No. 63

So I had a different razor up for today's shave but got some Yates Precision parts in and wanted to compare something. An "M" and an "H" PROTO #2 Plate as well as the stock handle came in. I compared the "H PROTO #2" and an "H" Plates and they are IDENTICAL (ONLY difference is the corners taken off the production plate) so I can only assume this is the one that went to production. See comparison pics below and you be the judge.

I decided to shave with it and found it to be exactly the same as the "H" plate. I won't need both and my intent was to get the handle with "M" Plate and sell a complete spare razor with parts I already had but it is kinda cool to have the Prototype of one of my favorite razors. The shave was spectacular and the soap ring hole continues to grow albeit at a slow pace now............uggghh. Have a swell Day Everyone !!

Very cool to have a prototype indeed! If the finish is the same level of quality as the production, I’d say keep that prototype and sell off the other!

My bad Dave, I was talking about the mixed knot in your RR 400.

I have 1st right of refusal if he ever sells it but I felt it belonged with him since he was the original tester of the Prototype. Off it went to him today which was the right thing to do.

Razor: Gillette New Improved
Blade: Gillette Spoiler (7)
Brush: Graydog Synthetic
Soap: Lakewood SOCP (1508.5 Project on Steroids)
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Ethos Fresh Lime Skin Food Splash
Fragrance: CK One

Progress on the 1508.5 amped up is moving along. Ring had increased enough and after this mornings load from the tub I felt it wasn't loading as well and it was time to move it to the Turkish Copper Bowl. It's days are numbered and I'm feeling that tomorrow may be a BRUT shave as a reward for where we are now.

The shave was great but clearly I didn't have as much lather as I would normally. That problem should be solved now as loading will be easier starting Monday. The Gillette Spoiler was tuggy on my final atg pass and it took care. Binned it after the shave. The Gillette New Improved is a beautiful work of art from it's time and a joy to use. Topped with Humphrey's, Ethos Skin Food Splash and some CK One and we're ready to deal with what may come our way. Pulled a Turkey out of the freezer earlier in the week and it's on tap for today. Have the Out-Laws from next door coming over for dinner and delivering some meals to some friends nearby. Have a great weekend Guys !!

A very nice read, good job! Donuts and turkeys! Turkish bowls and plates for neighbors! Again, what a nice write up. And that razor, simply Wow. It sure is photogenic! And so is the Graydog brush. Thanks for the great start of Saturday with your post
