Razor: Occam's
Blade: Feather Super
Brush: Techichi "The Hive"
Soap: Lakewood SOCP (1508.5 Project on Steroids)
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Terre D'Hermes Splash
Fragrance: Terre D'Hermes EdT

So I finally got to trying the Occam's razor I bought last month. I will say I enjoyed the open handle model better but I couldn't pass up this for the price. I remember I could NOT use my preferred blades (Schick Proline) in this as it won't sit properly. It also doesn't allow all feather blades in all the heads. I couldn't with ease get a close and lasting shave and found it bulky so I sold my previous razor. Then you see SOTD pics and think maybe i should give it another try....................Thanks Danny. Fast forward to today and I used the 2 dot head with a Feather Super to get more blade exposure for the shave. I found it to still be mild but at least accomplishing it's task. Although the handle is not comfortable for me, I could get a good hold on it. The exception is my xtg pass was extremely hard to get a comfortable grip going ear to ear, right to left. The bulky "Bullwinkle" Head also makes it hard going side to side under the nose and still getting close enough under the nose. All this said, I got a very close and comfortable shave. Will I use it often? Probably not as it doesn't shave any better than other more easily handled razors. Will keep it? For now at least since it was gotten fairly cheap and kills my curiosity. It will probably end up in one of my razor tackle trays ( SEE Fluffy ) so that if I get an itch, I can scratch it and return it to it's storage. The soap Project continues and I have thoughts on this 1508.5 on Steroids project but will get into thoughts on that perhaps tomorrow. Hope everyone has a stupid fun day !

Bullwinkle!! I have the open handled version and I love it. I think I’m in the minority with Nurse Dave and it’s become my favorite SE.  Cool

Yep, that's the model I wanted John but this was on sale new for half what that used one was. Only difference is the middle handle metal removed.

Wednesday February 10, 2021
Razor: Gillette New Long Comb/CG Hammered
Blade: Gillette Spoiler (6)
Brush: Graydog Cocobolo/AP Synbad
Soap: Vintage Williams
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Aqua Velva
Fragrance: Nautica Blue

Hey, I finally remembered to use Williams on Wednesday. I are Smart now. Got a tremendous lather and had an amazing shave. LOVING this vintage stuff. The aftershave has a slight medicinal vetiver like scent but I dig it and it feels good. Hope every one has a great day !!

Our every 2 week shopping for us and the Out-Laws is this Friday but they're calling for an Ice Storm so ran out late last night to be ahead of the game. We're in Whitley County
...ICE STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM THURSDAY TO 7 AM EST
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Significant icing is expected. Total ice accumulations
up to a quarter of an inch are expected.

* WHERE...Wayne, McCreary, Whitley, Knox and Letcher Counties.

* WHEN...From 1 AM Thursday to 7 AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the
ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Thursday morning commute.

All stocked up with food, propane for aux heat and cooking, and propane generator for fridge/freezer as well as oil lamps if power goes out. Take care everyone.

Glad to hear you are prepared. Best decision we made when building our house was to get talked into getting a generator. If it's not an ice or wind storm causing an outage, it's someone taking out a utility pole.
