So now there’s PEDs in shaving too?!

That's what I assumed (MY bad) as well. They haven't hid it but if you start reading without the background you think your technique is off. If you go to the earlier parts of that thread (page 13 in particular) they are adding and show how to add I think it was shea, mango and kokum butters which thickens the lather more but in my mind it is no longer Ethos, Stirling or whatever soap but has been remixed. That's just my take at least unless I missed something. Again, I'm not discounting the results. I'm just not wanting to complicate my process that much. Happy shaves everyone.

I hear you Dave. There’s no doubt that we’re all into process to a greater or lesser extent, the fact that we’re into wet shaving is conclusive proof of that, but there’s limits to how far one goes down that road and we each draw our own line. Personally, I’m not prepared to go that far and, like you, I want to experience the product as the maker intended and furthermore, does the addition of that extra stuff appreciably improve the performance or just create an impressive lather?
I think some have found benefits for their skin so I'm not knocking it. Just decided to draw my line there........for now anyway Big Grin

Yep and all the red blotchy skin I was trying to hide is now there again in spades. Some sorta dermatitis I assume but couldn't take the hair there anymore  Happy2

Razor: H&S N075
Blade: Wizamet (2)
Brush: Teton Zen "Bob Ross"
Soap: Wholly Kaw La Fougère Parfaite
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Brut
Fragrance: Brut Cologne

So I read where ExtraProtein commented about Wholly Kaw La Fougère Parfaite yesterday and it got me to thinking it had been too long since having Brut shave......................................so here we are. I have a bottle of vintage splash and a Monster 25.6 oz bottle of the cologne. Must have been a novelty item but had to buy it when spotted at a discount store a couple years back. Cold front moved thru with rain yesterday so goodbye 70's. Not frigid but cooler. H&S N075 got the nod today and it gave a nice smooth shave. Have a great day and be safe out there DFS !!
