Beautiful shave today with the 1887 Star Lather Catcher find Jeff jmudrick gave me the tip on. Was unsure how well it would work with the Modern Gem blade but got a great close shave. Should only improve when I get some wedges honed up. 3 Fluffy Industries shave gear items used today and VERY appreciative of Ken's thoughtful gifts that are revealed in the video. Have a Stupid Fun Day folks !!

So I have owned one of these Razors in years past and got rid of it as newer blades did not fit. Now with the experience I've had in adapting blades to fit these proprietary blade razors I got another one as I saw it as a real possibility in seeing some others success. I got a snip that would get in the narrow place I needed to cut out some of the blade without damage to it. This WeCut blade did well with the SNMIRN razor they came with so tried a fresh one for this attempt at cutting it to fit the square posts.

Having done that I went forward with the shave. I found the blade was not as keen/sharp as others and it showed it's lack of ability in this razor. The razor is said to be an aggressive one and that it is. Maintain angle and you are good to go. A sharper blade would fair better especially on the ATG pass. I will try my go to Wizamets next time I use it. Got a great and close shave with extra work to make up for the blades reluctance to cut well. Topped with some Pacific Rush which is good juice but unavailable. Last 2 bottles for me. Had a swath of trees cut down  by a crew at the end of our home so that  they don't hit us in the event of a storm. They had gotten to the point that they all needed to be pulled the opposite direction they would naturally fall and I didn't have all the gear needed. The crew even had some difficulty with 5 guys. Pines are shallow rooted and prone to blow overs. I try to keep them down when tall enough to reach the dwelling. I cleared the back hillside 8 years ago but neglected the side. Now that that's done I can focus come winter and cooler weather to reclaim the back hillside of the new growth from the past 8 years before they get to tall to manage. Have a great weekend !
