Kevin, I don't know how I entirely missed this thread but what a cool story and how great of DapperDragon to do this for you. Has the limited run already happened because I'd love to get a tub of Obi Hill if I could. Your description of sitting with your grandfather getting a history lesson was fantastic. Life is made of moments like those.

As an aside, have you ever seen the movie Secondhand Lions starring Michael Caine and Robert Duvall? About a young boy left with his two old bachelor uncles on a farm in West Texas and they tell him stories of their adventures. Great movie

Mark, I don't believe Eric has released the limited run as of yet. The soap really does a great job of capturing that scent and when I shave with it definitely makes me nostalgic.

I was hooked when Kevin originally posted about it. I am definitely in also...

I received a tub of this in a generous PIF from kwsher and will be posting my thoughts here once I have a few shaves with it under my belt. I have used it once and I will say first impressions are good! Stay tuned...

The background story just makes this soap sound wonderful, along with the scent profile. It's something personal and special. That just adds to the appeal in my mind.

I'm ready to move forward no the limited edition Obi Hill run.
