Maybe an option to view full site, instead of a mobile version? That be my suggestion. Smile

While there are occasionally people selling things or the odd vendor advertising, I often go on road trips so would love to know where the great brick and mortar stores are out there around the country. A push to have people talk about where they shop locally would be great. Perhaps even some kind of interactive linked map... but now I'm just getting fanciful.

I'd like to see one place where all beginners tips and videos are located. This would include beginners tips & videos. Also perhaps a place where all YouTube channels are co-located.

Hi. I think you covered it all really. The only thing I could think of is a DFS recommended product page, maybe leading up to a DFS awards or product of the year. Maybe also a accessories page, stuff that compliments or justs go with your shave gear, eg: different types of bowl, towels, stands, anything that people like to share in our community. May be even a tutorial or a hint & tips page. P.S. You have done a great job, Well Done & Thanks.

I enjoy this site a lot and appreciate its lack of clutter and streamlined design. Usually when I want to find something I just have to look and its there. I like that their aren't a million and one different subforums and subforums in the subforums. Keep on keeping on and thanks again!

Damn Fine Shave is holding a free forum giveaway that'll run for 2 weeks (July 27th, 2015 - August 10th 2015).  The winner will be picked using this random number generator and announced on Tuesday, August 11th, 2015.  Admins and Mods on this forum are not allowed to win the items in the contest.  If the random number generator happens to pick a post that is theirs, I'll just refresh the page so it'll generate a new number.

Rules:

This is a 100% free contest, no purchase is required.  You are required to be a member on Damn Fine Shave before you'll be able to enter the contest.

I'll ship the items outside of the United States, so all users are welcome to enter the contest.

We're looking for feedback on what you'd like to see added or improved on this site, so post your ideas, and you will automatically be entered in the contest.  This doesn't necessarily mean we'll be able to add or make said improvements, but we'd still like to see what ideas you have.

Items (all new, never used):
1 Edwin Jagger DE89L Razor
25 Astra SP blades
1 Satin Tip synthetic brush (black hair)

This is the first forum I have joined, so my suggestion may not be as good as others. I suggest having 'Product Spotlight' threads that allow members to focus on a particular brand of product, including company history, best and worst products from their range and any news about new products.

I found it difficult to attach a photo to one's reply.

Hi Smile

What is the screen size of your device (like is it 800px by 600px?)

The site is set up to be responsive, so it should resize for your screen dimensions. If you could show a screenshot I might be able to help more. What is your browser and OS? If using IE, then you really need to be on IE9+

I'm not in front of it right now, but it is responsive insofar as it resizes everything to put it onto the screen.  The problem is, that includes the grey side banners, as well as the sidebar section where our avatars sit and offeset the message bodies to the right, leaving very little room on the screen for the message bodies itself, and if you are reading a post with several nested quotes in it, like this one, that's why I did that, it can get rather difficult to read the quotes to follow along with what a person is responding to.  To be fair, it is a six year old netbook running a lightweight Linux build, so it isn't a big-three browser, which could be the problem as well Big Grin

Hello and good day to all!

I am a new member and found out about your great forum, from TSE youtube channel.

Thanks a lot for so generous giveaway and hope to enjoy your great forum.

My suggestion for a meanwhile is minor. May be to add more smilies or some emoticons.
