After reading some very positive reviews on the Czech Tiger Platinum, I took a chance and ordered 100 on Amazon.  They were very inexpensive at just under ten cents per blade, so I had little to lose.  I typically shave with a blade twice, except for Wizamet/Polsilver which give me three shaves.  Well, after trying a tuck of the Tiger Platinum blades, they get an enthusiastic thumbs up from me.  IMHO they are better than some of my favorites (Israeli Reds, Nacet, Astra, Voskhod).  For me, the Wizamet/Polsilver is still better.
Well, I read about the same manufacturer's Tatra blades and ordered those as well (same price as the Tigers).  Once again, I was pleasantly surprised. Those blades performed even better than the Tigers!  This is good news for our community, since there is a new source of pretty good blades at a
reasonable price, from a reliable source.
There has been some recent concerns about the quality of the Israeli Reds and Astras going downhill, so a new replacement for them is a good thing.
I suspect that more of the wet shaving vendors may be carrying these Czech blades in the future.  I look forward to opinions from others on DFS who have tried these brands of blades.

Yesterday I ordered a custom sampler pack from razorbladesclub (btw, already received shipping notice, quick fulfillment; I always appreciate that), and it includes 5 blade tucks of both Tiger Platinum & Tatras. Not sure when I'll be able to give them a try, but I've been seeing enough positive reviews that it made me crawl out of my "GSB or PolSilvers and nothing else!!!!" cave to try these and others.

1.  Edgewell/Personna has closed the Israeli factory.

2.  Gillette (who makes Astra in St. Petersburg, Russia) quietly changed to laser etching on their DE blades for what appears to be economic/aesthetic reasons as well as a means of counterfeit prevention. As a result some on shaving forums have panicked lthereby causing countless threads that have "snowballed" into claims of a drop in QC which is nothing but pure unmitigated BS.

P.S. There is already a thread on the Czech blades:

I have some the Astra laser engraved blades and they are still just as good as before. The Czech Tiger Platinum blades are nice as well.

Do you have confirmation that the Edgewell/Personna plant in Bethlehem, Israel has, in fact, closed?

It was announced that the plant would close, but the facility is still listed on the Edgewell web site dated 2020. Of course, just because the plant is listed does not mean that they are still manufacturing there.
