According to their website, the new No. 88 soap will be ready April 24th.

No.88 Ingredients:
Sodium Palmate, Sodium Tallowate, Aqua (Water), Sodium Cocoate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Glycerin, Parfum (Fragrance), Lecithin, Petrolatum, Zea Mays Oil, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Chloride, Tocopheryl Acetate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Geraniol, Linalool, Citronellol, Hydroxy Citronellal, Limonene, Oakmoss Absolute, C.I. 77499, C.I. 17789

The page for O&C still shows the ingredients of the former formula, no anticipated date/info for releasing the new one.

I find the use of Oakmoss Absolute there to be interesting. Since it's near the end, I'm guessing a very small amount will be in there.

I think what's most intriguing is there is only Sodium (... no Potassium).
And then particularly, it's another Sodium Palmate-first formula.

Nero, please remind me. Who else puts Sodium Palmate first in their ingredient list? Was it the new Floris soap?

Hey Bouki, most of the notoriously bad (thin, bubbly) formulas start with SP... but a few good soaps now do, too...so it's not always certain by relying on this snippet of info.

Floris start with PP, btw.

gone to Carolina in my mind
I just checked out C&S a bit and found the following at the links below:

C&S No. 88, Large; "This item will be released 19th April 2021."
Sodium Tallowate, Aqua (Water), Potassium, Palmitate, Potassium Stearate, Sodium Palmitate, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Cocoate, Potassium Cocoate, Glycerin, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Cocos Nucifera, Parfum (Fragrance), Lecithin, Petrolatum, Zea Mays, Tocopheryl Acetate, C.I. 77891, C.I. 77499

C&S O&C Large; no release date
Sodium Tallowate, Aqua (Water), Potassium, Palmitate, Potassium Stearate, Sodium Palmitate, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Cocoate, Potassium Cocoate, Glycerin, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Cocos Nucifera, Parfum (Fragrance), Lecithin, Petrolatum, Zea Mays, Tocopheryl Acetate, C.I. 77891, C.I. 77492

Except for the comma in "Potassium, Palmitate", these two ingredient lists match my 2017 Large No. 88 purchase:

C&S No. 88, Large; purchased by me in 2017

Sodium Tallowate, Aqua (Water), Potassium Palmitate, Potassium Stearate, Sodium Palmitate, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Cocoate, Potassium Cocoate, Glycerin, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Cocos Nucifera, Parfum (Fragrance), Lecithin, Petrolatum, Sea Mays, Tocopheryl Acetate, C.I. 77891, C.I. 77499

I think I can say two things without fear of contradiction: 1) I know less about C&S and less about soap making than some of you do.  2) I'm confused.

IIRC C&S was acquired by some other outfit not that long ago.  Is that correct, and is that where to look for the best current C&S info?  -- Thx.

Interesting.... They must have updated the ingredients list since I started this thread.
I copied and pasted it, and it said Sodium Palmate as the first ingredient, amongst other differences...
See OP.
