Captain Murphy just got done putting the final touches on it after Chris from Razorplate did the plating.

1982 C3 Super Adjustable. Head and dial in black rhodium, O-ring and end CAP in regular rhodium, numbers in white and spring in bright red and a freshly painted handle. Turned up on the aggressive side as well. I wasn't completely sure how it was going to look since I haven't really seen anything like it before. Have to say I am more then thrilled. When the pics came through I was blown away. Plus the guys were just a pleasure to deal with. Should be in the den in a few days time. It's been a long wait but so worth it.
Interesting. I may have to do this some day. I found birth year, but not birth quarter, so I'm still on the hunt for a black beauty. Out of curiosity, what did you have CAP do I this project? Was it in need of repair or something?
Beautiful razor for sure!

Just clean, disassemble and made it a little more aggressive. He also does the painting.

I have a b4 birth year, I wasn't even aware these could be refinished. I overpaid for mine, and it could use some work. This post was very helpful

I wasn't sure how it was going to come out. Never see many that are replated. I don't know of I would trust it to anyone else other then Razorplate and Captain Murphy though. Sport Shaving looks to good do work but didn't see any Super Adjustables.

I've been looking to get something special done to my birth quarter slim, this just makes me want to pull the trigger even faster.

Do it Smile All together it cost a fair amount but incredibly worth it for me. It's not a razor I am going to use a lot as nothing gives me a shave close to the Mongoose but it is something I plan on keeping for a very long time. Hopefully I will be able to pass it on to my son when he is ready.
