I used to be able to have conversations with James via email. I can't seem to get a response now. The last Wolfman I purchased (a little over a year ago) was a full copper WR1 dual comb with an H7 handle. It was gorgeous:

I won't get into how I lost it, but I did, on accident. I have emailed James twice now to ask to be put on a list so that I can have him make me a new one. I have gotten no response. Does anyone know what's going on over there, or with him? I see him continue to post live Youtube video of him in the shop, but again, I can't get a response, and all I want is to be put on his list.

Any info would be appreciated... thanks guys.

There is no list currently as it's closed. Besides the random Twitter notification of some stock being added there is no way to obtain one. That's probably why he isn't responding as there is no way for you to get one currently.

There are no open waiting lists. Sorry to hear you lost your razor...that hurts...But I'm sure he gets tons of emails asking to have a custom razor made. To keep things fair, I think he had decided not to allow this. Whether he will open up a list, or when he might, your guess is as good as mine. For now you can email him for a guerilla or watch his Twitter for the chance to buy a non-custom razor.
But maybe others know something I don't. We'll see how others respond.
Again, sorry to hear you lost such a beautiful razor. Good luck! Maybe with some patience you can get on a waitlist in the future

Thanks guys.  I keep forgetting to watch for Twitter feeds, and I have definitely been thinking about a Guerilla, but replacing my razor is a big focus for me.  I appreciate your info, let's see what other's say too

So sorry to hear that you lost that razor-it is just beautiful.

It can be a bit challenging getting a hold of James. He's basically a one-man show (Guerrillas notwithstanding) and I've come to realize that his passion is making world-class razors, by hand, one at a time.

I am hoping that he gets some inclination soon to respond to tell me he can remake the razor. Thanks Michael

March 25th was the last time he added stock on twitter. Make sure to turn on his particular Twitter notifications so you'll be notified immediately.

I always read he makes them by hand. Correct me if I'm wrong but like a lot of other DE razors made today they are programmed and made in a CNC machine.

Exactly. The program is already there. All he has to do is load the stock into the machine and hit go. It's not like he's sitting there hand forging the metal and carving out every detail. I'm sure even the polishing process is aided by machines (buffing wheels and such). He does make beautiful razors, but I'm not sure why this guy is put up on such a high pedestal by the wetshaving community.

Tone, it sucks that you lost your razor. I'm sure it wasn't cheap. I hope you can get a hold of him to get a new one, but it's not looking like he is going to respond.

I don't get it either. The cult like status gets pretty silly sometimes.
Beautiful, sure, but not the smoothest shavers out there.

I recently visited James at the shop, he is very busy, the problem is that the normal Wolfman requires more time hand finishing than machine time so he can make the razors but not finish them. This is why he has come out with the new "stock" razor to help with demand. He is hoping once thing stabilize in the next couple of months that he will get back to custom razor making.
