Comparing the Blackland Blackbird

Interesting. To me those are very different razors. Both are well built and finished but shave wise the shaving angle and feel on the face is very different.

Do you have a preference between the two ? Before shaving with them side by side i would have said that the ATT H2 was more efficient. However when comparing them directly it removed my preconceived notions and showed me that the Blackbird was just as efficient. This has also shown me how flawed comparing razors by memory can be.

I prefer how the BB shaves. I wish it took other handles all the way. I think an ATT bamboo or atlas would be perfect for the head.

I get the impression that it irks you to see the Dart, your "entry level" razor(for lack of a better term) being compared to the Blackbird, your flagship. I think (I don't want to assume) that you meant The Dart to be a medium-ish aggressive razor that was an attractive option for those looking to a SS razor platform at a price point that would appeal to someone who wasn't quite ready to plunk down the cash for a more "premium" option. While I believe that the latter is certainly true, I can't say that the Dart is a medium-ish aggressive razor. The Dart is the most efficient/aggressive safety razor that I have used (and I have a pretty sizable collection of both vintage and modern safety razors) . The Dart is the only razor that I own that I can do two passes and walk away with a BBS shave. In this regard it eclipses even the Blackbird. I happily sing the praises of the Dart for what it is to me, the king of efficiency in my den.
