That's the one. And that's an offer from the seller not the list price... surprised his Wiborg is going for such a low price

Wow, someone actually bought it at that price.

Any idea on the value of this RS-10 leather case?

There are two angles with a BBS1 sale imo:

Once you sell yours, it’s gone forever

Owners aren’t actively trying to sell them, they are few and far between

I had the opportunity to grab an additional kit this past summer here in the UK at £1300.   After seeing this one sell for 2100 USD, the 1600 was a steal.

Feds, what would you say the starting point is for a kit today? 1500usd?

True on both points.

I've seen them go for £1100 in the past year but £1300-1400 is more likely.

Having tried all the Wolfman designs other than the BBS-1 I'm still curious to try this razor one day but the likelihood of someone being prepared to loan theirs is slim - which I totally understand.

Would think there synergies based on breadth of RS10 collection sold as unit - the more complete the collection, the higher the individual components' contribution, particularly so if pieces unused or perfect and rare

I’ve read all the attempts likening BBS1 to many other razors.  I ordered three wr2 designs just to prove to myself it’s a stand alone piece.  It’s a stand alone piece.  It’s weirdly very efficient with zero blade feel.  But my description is my personal experience with it.

You’ll get an opportunity to try one.  Anyone who knows you even the slightest knows you take care of your gear, it’s visually obvious AND you’re a stand up GENT. If this conversation took place 2-3 weeks ago, I would have made that offer myself.  I head stateside Thursday-ish and won’t be back until late Jan.

You know what’s interesting about the BBS1? Given the prices being paid for them, neither LASSC nor James Dufour have ever rereleased the razor. Yes, that would put downward pressure on resale prices of originals but still. You have to respect their integrity.

You know the reason for no re-release ever right?

No. I’m assuming LASSC had a contract and James is honouring it
