It reminds me of a very very weak Soapy Bathman Cigar lounge fragrance. Hope it shaves well. Glad its only 4 ounces. Has anyone else experienced this with this scent?

I do. To me the scent strength is a low medium. Which for me I like scent strength to be in the medium zone like this one.

mine is far below "medium", maybe the new batch I have is different.

That's concerning. I have three CRSW soaps, two Select and one v2, and all have good scent strength. Not overpowering, but definitely noticeable. I'd suggest writing to Larry at CRSW if the scent really is that faint.

Just got my V2 Barber Sapone yesterday. Have not shaved with it yet but I opened her up to take a sniff and the smell is very robust. I'm assuming ours are from the same batch. I can't see how anyone can say that they can't smell it from the tin. I can only imagine it will be stronger when lathered and on my face.

That's more like what I experience with my CRSW soaps...

Boingo -my container is one inch away and there is very little scent. Ive been wet shaving for 35 years. Trust me, mine has very little. However, from what I can smell, its very nice. As far as the shave, its very slick and post is as always excellent. Thought it took a little more effort and water to lather than V1 and V1 was more voluminous but this could be the new synthetic im using. But overall the V2 shave is top notch and prefer it to V1. Provided a closer one pass as well. Shave-wise this soap is a winner. Scent increased slightly during shave but still weak. Maybe cold weather shipping affected it. Will see how it evolves over time. Did write to Larry- hasnt responded yet. Looking forward to trying some of the others, maybe spice or vetyver.

I am loving Spiced Amber V2. Very good scent strength and I find it pairs awesomely with a very light splash of Ginger's Garden Spice Grenade aftershave (which is fairly strong). If I am not too heavy with the aftershave, I can smell the soap interacting with it for a good while afterwards. The soap's technical performance is of course outstanding.
