Ive been trying to perfect my cold brew coffee procedure and coffee blend.
Anyone else have a passion for cold brew coffee??
It’s damned good when it’s frikking 85 at 6:30 am!!
Cold brew equates to wet shaving…it’s never perfect, it’s always an experiment to make it better!!

I use a tall glass “pitcher” with a mesh insert that works for the brewing.
Also another “pitcher” with a mesh cone filter for the 
Minimum 10 hours in the fridge.
I’m still experimenting with the right amount of course ground coffee to water.

When I was lazy, I used course ground Cameron’s Cold Brew blend.
Lately, I’ve been trying some of Rod’s Stirling coffees.  So far the Stirling Kenya, which is an espresso roast, is really great.
I’ve been experimenting with blending some of Rod’s Brazil coffee, 1/3 Brazil and 2/3 Kenya might do it for me.
The Brazil beans seem a little sweeter and complement the BIG flavor of the Kenya.

I enjoy a little sweetened cream in the iced glass of caffeine.
Typically a blend of sweetened condensed milk and real cream.
Ohhh YEAH Baby!

I tried to make cold brew coffee like you described and it didn’t come out strong enough for me. I’m not sure what I did wrong. I think I let rest for 24 hours.

For cold brew...I am lazy. I got hooked on Grady's Cold Brew and that is my "go to" iced coffee, and I love it. I just follow the Grady's directions for their "bags"! Hot morning coffee is another story...I buy fresh beans, grind, temp control and pour over.

I just finished a podcast on Business Wars (Starbucks vs Dunkin Donuts) and they mentioned Starbucks found the optimal time is 20 hours. 

Considering the temps in Central Indiana the past couple weeks, it may be time for me to learn how to do this Cold Brew!

Cold brew ate through our beans so quick. Luckily our roaster offers up bottles of it so we just buy those. It’s damn delicious!

For what it is worth, I've found a cold brew blend that works just great for me is from Copper Horse Coffee, a same coffee roaster in Ithaca, NY, that I order online.  It's called Seahourse blend and with a grind and 12 hours of sitting, it makes smooth sailing iced coffee.  I drink way too much of it.  I just called to see when it will come online for this summer (it's a seasonal blend) and they said next week. They've also just introduced it in cans and according to the brewer, it took them three years of searching for a technology that works for canned iced coffee and believes they now have it after working with someone at MIT.  The cans are available online but I can't yet vouch for them. But for beans for an iced coffee blend, I do recommend Copper Horse -- as well as for their beans for hot coffee brewing:

I have one of those pitchers specifically for cold brew. I filled the filter to the top and it still wasn’t strong enough. I think I probably just need a different coffee.

Did you use course ground coffee?
I’m not sure why that matters, but it does.
10-12 hours brewing?
Ideally, you should be able to “thin” the cold brewed nectar of the Gods with some H2O.
Otherwise you will be faster than the speed of light, and nothing good can come from that.
