I am offering for trade a very special vintage brush specimen. It came to me unused but without its original box. It does not have a label and I have no idea who produced it and when the brush was manufactured. I cleaned it and treated the knot with a botanical disinfectant. The handle has a very consistent age-appropriate patina.

The brush is HUGE (to my standards) and has perhaps the most luxurious knot that I have ever held in my hands. The loft is rather tall, which makes the knot exceptionally soft and fluffy. While not having a strong backbone, the brush is not moppy due to its knot’s density. The individual hairs are the most refined badger that I experienced, which is similar to that of vintage Plisson brushes.

Here is the list of specs:

3 band silvertip
Knot diameter - 29mm
Loft - 67mm
Handle diameter - 46.5mm
Handle height - 53.5mm

I am looking for Simpsons Ch2, Rooney, or 3XL M&F brushes of similar intrinsic value, though in a smaller overall size. My preferred knot diameter is 26mm to 29mm, preferably in two-band. If you have some other brushes (especially Paladins 2XL) that you consider a great option please let me know too.

Regards,
Ale
