SOTD
- BBS-1
- M&F 26mm Finest
- Scheermonnik Soek shaving soap
- B&M Reserve Spice AS

I'm continuing my review of Scheermonnik soaps and today used Soek. Soap description: "Scheermonnik Soek (Souk) is an artisan made shaving soap that is created in small batches in Holland with a blend of myrrh and orange with middle notes of ginger, cinnamon and cloves. It is then rounded out with caraway seed and vanilla to give it a warm, soothing feeling. This scent is a fine balance of spice, warmth and sweetness."

The soap performance was excellent (very slick!) but I hardly picked up any scent at all. Maybe a 2/10. It was like shaving 10 miles away from a Souk and trying to pick up the scents versus shaving in a Souk. What I did detect (spice cookies) was nice but it really needs to be dialed up. My favorite souk still remains - Mickey Lee Soapworks Souk.

Thanks Josh for the opportunity to try this out!!!

I'm hoping someone else jumps in to experience the soaps.

SOTD with Sheermonnik Donderslag ("thunderclap"), a Dutch soap described as "a deep fragrance with black amber and Parisian lavender. Combined with these main scents is a mysterious black myrrh, dulcet vanilla, tonka bean, and a splash of Egyptian musk and clary sage."

For me the scent was vaguely floral with no prominent notes. Soap performance again was excellent. Very nice lather but I wish these soaps had more robust scents.

Thanks Joshua W Smith for the pass around!!
