Hi mr. smith. Yes, I received them last week and used them a few times. I'll be shipping them out to EricM today. I'll gather my thoughts and post my mini review when I get a chance later.

SOTD
- BBS-1
- M&F 26mm Finest
- Scheermonnik Delfts Wit shaving soap
- Wm Neumann Heartwood AS

Today was a real treat.  I tried Scheermonnik Delfts Wit shaving soap, kindly offered by Mr. Smith.  Delfts Wit is a woody scent that has notes of Italian bergamot, apple wood, tonka bean, patchouli, cedarwood, and oakmoss, finished with cardamom, vanilla bourbon and allspice.  This is not your ordinary "walk through the woods" forest scent.  It's hard for me to describe but I picked up wood notes with an almost herbal vibe also going on.  I swear I picked up Myrrh.  Lol.  I enjoyed it.  Scent strength was average, not weak but also not robust.

The soap performance was excellent.  It produced a creamy lather in no time and had great residual slickness.  Zero drying issues.  If I had to find a negative I'd say it's expensive for the amount you get, the soap comes in a metal tin, and the tin size is rather small which makes it more difficult to load.  This is why I don't buy Klar. Definitely a fun soap to try out!!  I also love the super cool label design!

Thanks for including me in the pass around!!! Big Grin

EricM ; that was an awesome, well-written review...the photo wasn't too bad either Tongue. I agree, the scents are light, the performance is outstanding, and the price will be out of reach for most folks due to better value items elsewhere that may perform just as well or better.
