I have gotten a quote for a custom order of Delrin/acetal washers the same size as the ones Timeless Razors sells for 5 for $5 plus shipping. The quote is 200 for $108 (0.59 each). Is anyone here interested in going in with me on part of the order? I personally would like to get around 20-25 of them, so I would need others of you to go for the other 175-180 of them. And you would have to pay for me shipping them to you, which wouldn't cost much because they weigh very little.
Let me know if interested.

Thanks. So 90 are spoken for. We need another 110 to make up the order of 200 total.

I'd be interested to buy 20, but I don't know if it's convenient for me for the shipping costs to Italy.  Would the costs be high even for such light washers?

Yes, shipping to Italy would require customs forms, etc.  many people I know in Europe who buy a lot of US stuff have a mailbox here and professional forwarding service.  20 dollars minimum shipping to Italy from the US 1-4 weeks delivery on a 3oz padded envelope, so in general the pricing is not worth it.

Put me down for 25 as well.

OK, thanks, guys. It looks like I can probably put together the order for at least 200 of the washers. There are two eBay sellers offering me price quotes, so it will be a couple days; then I'll post when I have placed the order. An order will weigh less than an ounce, so I think First Class shipping to anywhere in the US would be $5.25. When I pay for the whole order, I will also have to pay a sales tax of 11%, which I need to pass on to you. If you got an order of 30 of them, the cost per washer would end up around 84 cents or so. Obviously, with a fixed shipping cost from me to you, the more washers you get, the lower your cost per washer.

Another choice, if any of you are interested in getting 50 washers with slightly different dimensions instead of participating in this group order, there is a listing on eBay where you can get them for around 30 cents per washer shipped before tax. The ID is 0.25", which probably would work OK, but I'm not sure. If you have expressed interest in the group order here or in a PM to me but change your mind to get these instead, please let me know.

Just an update for you. I got another quote of 48 cents per washer for 200 of them. So if you went in for 30 of these, your cost, shipped from me to you would be around 71 cents per washer. Oh, and I also will need to tack on the small PayPal cost for each of your orders. It's complicated, but I'm not making any money on this!

OK, I guess what I am going to do is place an order for 300 of the washers with whichever of the sellers offers me the best deal for them (with as close to the exact same dimensions as the Timeless ones as is possible), and then I'll send messages back to all of you who have expressed interest, outlining what your costs would be to just cover my expense so that I break even on it. I'm sure that I'll be able to find enough guys here and on a couple other forums to account for the 300 total.
