I've heard from three people so far who were interested in another run (although one of them is a guy who is only interested when things aren't available, then never buys them when they actually become available again...I think he just likes to message me to complain), so closer to the time I'll run an interest check to see if there is sufficient interest to make ordering the scent worthwhile.

That sounds great hawns .  Can I suggest that you consider using the same/similar mechanism that Ryan @ Tallow + Steel uses for the special collab soaps like YRP?  He put up an order page on his site and promoted it across different forums and anybody who wanted it could order/pay for it for a specific time period then he closes the ordering and knows how much to make.  Seems more streamlined than the way we did BBB.  Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the project and didn't mind banging the drum but my drum beat only reaches so far.  Ryan's approach seems more convenient, all pre-paid and you know exactly how much to make.  Until after you ship it and that guy contacts you to complain that he can't get anyBig Grin

As a rule, I personally don't like to have people pay for products that don't yet exist. It just makes me too nervous in case something happens. I'll just put up a page on my website this time to order if there is enough interest, but I promoted this across several different channels last time (Facebook groups, my social media channels, and Reddit) without any any response. So it wasn't for a lack of trying.

Well, that was then and this is now. It was a prospect then and now its a real thing thats been generally well regarded. Its pretty hard to predict anything in the TWS world. Taste is so subjective and variable. I do not envy you guys. I guess you make what you like and hope enough people like it too.

Oh sure thing, that's why I was thinking I'd just put out some feelers in a few months to see what kind of interest is out there. Just a state of the union kind of thing. I'm sure it'll grow as time goes on, but I'm just a naturally cautious guy.

Its smart to be cautious. You're risking your own money. Out here in forum land its pretty easy to clamour for this and that when we don't have to take any risk.

I'll definitely buy a BBB soap and probably more salve if it's made again.

This is great news, obviously I'd buy some. I should be set until February or so with all the CL aftershaves headed my way at the moment.
