You are lubricating threads, not the Space Shuttle. Just a few drops on the threads on the razor head and inside of threaded handle. Do you need a schematic?   Rolleyes
Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

This is a little trick I use to clean the the internal thread on a three piece razor.
I just take a cotton tip screw it in all the way in and out.
I have never had the tip come of the stem.
You will be surprised by the dirt and scum that comes out if you have never cleaned the handle thread.
You can even use a little detergent and water if its really dirty (example you purchased a vintage razor).
Or if you want to clean and lubricate the internal thread I just put a few drops of 3 in 1 oil on the cotton tip.
As some of you have some pricey razors it pays to take care of the thread.

Works with Modern and vintage thread sizes.

This is what I buy they are cheap and available at chemist warehouse. (In Australia)
Cheers.

I used to just rinse mine off and call it a day, but once I actually cleaned the thread properly, I was shocked at how much gunk had built up. A cotton tip works great, especially with a bit of oil to keep things smooth. On a side note, when I was swamped with nursing assignments, I found buy nursing essay super helpful. Just like maintaining a razor, sometimes you need the right tools to get the job done properly.
Keeping a razor in top shape is all about the little details, and cleaning the internal thread is something a lot of people overlook.

Many razor mfg’s do not plug the threads when they bead blast.  It gets media into the threads.  I use 3:1 (I think someone mentioned it) and Qtips.

Use blade wax to lubricate threads. Works great!
