I haven’t seen much info on this razor yet so I wanted to make a thread so we can get some feedback as more of these get out into the wild.

There’s one review here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Wetshaving/comm...ame=iossmf

These are made in-house by Chiseled Face and there’s a good amount of info in the link.

Blade gap is 1.12mm and blade exposure is positive.

Price is $348

It's sharp and it cuts. I like it...

Good looking razor with a unique presentation to go with it. Price is actually competitive for a Ti razor in today's field. Though pricing can still go up as is mentioned on their website.

Hmmm, intrigued....  Confused2

I'm kicking myself right now. I had an opportunity to get one from the first batch and was offered for only 295 back a couple of weeks ago.

I'm sure this razor will only gain in popularity, as it only weighs about 56g with over 1mm in blade gap..

Im in for batch#2. Im concerned about the lack of grip. reminds me of the original timeless titanium handle which did not have good grip. Atleast the return policy is good if my suspicions are correct

Grip shouldn't be a problem because of its light weight. Also reading the review on Reddit there was no complaint about the handle.

Batch 2 sold out. Shipping August 27 and then they will take orders for batch 3 same day. It appears each batch will sell only fifteen razors.

I picked one of these up in a moment of weakness, and to be honest I didn't have high expectations.  The box looked like overkill, I wasn't a fan of the handle, etc.  I usually prefer heavier razors than most folks, but the Blackland Blackbird Ti changed that.

My first impressions are:
  • fantastically smooth and efficient, with enough blade feel to be present but not uncomfortable

  • mid-aggressive

  • lightweight and nimble

  • aluminum and leather case is way nicer than I’d expected

  • colors on the handle are very cool

  • handle could be grippier
Overall this was the best shave I’ve had in awhile, I’m very impressed.  I saw on CF's Instagram page that he's working on a second handle option as well.
